A New K-9 Public School on the Horizon

Edmonton’s west end community of Edgemont is set to welcome a new kindergarten to grade nine (K-9) public school, which is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors to students in September 2027. Providing modern educational facilities to meet the contemporary learning needs of the many young families in the area. This new school is conveniently located up the road from Weston at Edgemont and will have the capacity to serve up to 950 students.

Complementary Community Developments

To complement the new K-9 school development, the City of Edmonton are developing a community park in Edgemont with construction beginning this summer. The park will include sports fields, shared uses paths, landscaping and a new playground. You can view the parks proposed design here.
